What is PCM material?
PCM or Phase Change Material is a material where its characteristic is its state of object is influenced by its surrounding temperature. PCM during the transformation process: when PCM reaches a certain temperature (phase change temperature), it can change from solid to liquid state and absorb the heat (PCM product principle): when the temperature drops, it can change from liquid state into a solid state and release all the heat absorbed. It is different from the traditional cooling vest, the PCM cooling vest uses the PCM material or known as Phase Change Material where it is classified as an advanced technology, referring to temperature adjustment by absorbing and releasing heat. It won’ seem bulky, uncomfortable or have a short span of using time. MEGACOOL PCM cooling vest compared to other cooling vest in the market is lighter by 30-60%, allowing user to still feel the cooling sensation and at the same time protect its safety and working efficiency. The cooling pack can be used for up to 2 hours at a temperature of 26’ degree once its activated. The Velcro straps on the shoulder can be adjust for different types of body. The cooling vest element is 100% filled with the PCM element. PCM can temporarily store heat or cold. When they are absorbing heat from their surroundings, the material will defrost and cool the surrounding environment. When the temperature drops, the material will release the stored heat and freeze.
